Has capitalism failed younger generations?

I hear that the key difference between the socialists of old and the current breed is that they are now 2SLGBTQIA+, too.

Yes and no..

Capitalism and socialism CAN be reconciled and it worked really well in The Netherlands and in Scandinavia.

But then the UN turned all of Europe into a welfare "state" and the circle of money was broken and started flowing down a bottomless well.

Agreed about Scandinavia and Netherlands. But the question is, how long until welfare mentality also sets into their society, and the consumers of resources & capital start outnumbering the producers of resources & capital. It's simply a matter of time.

I am not convinced that the two systems can successfully be reconciled.

Tax in Scandinavia is so high that starting a business is almost impossible. Do you know why no big tech companies get started in the UK, because companies have to give half their profits away to the government in the form of tax.

Socialism kills innovation because it subscribes to the idea that people who gain wealth should be punished for it and the bone idle should be rewarded for it.

You see it so often, tax the rich, that is such a popular sentiment on the internet. How dare that person invent something useful, patent it and get rich of it. He developed a machine that can be inserted into children with Apraxia's heads which enables them to speak for the first time in their lives. This person deserves to be punished for his invention.

This person should be punished and the welfare breeder who has 5 babies by 25 years of age and gives them all up for adoption while still claiming child benefits now this is the place where our tax rands should go towards

Whenever I see capitalism being debated between supporters and critics, I seldom see both sides refer to the same meaning of the word.

But then again even official definitions seldom line up depending on the source.

It's pathetic really. Almost seems satirical.

Such an important concept that has far reaching consequences on political divide and ideology and policy, yet we aren't even using the same dictionary. Fkin joke.
