Has Digichilli Launched?

I tried playing Modern Warfare 2, but I cant log onto steam with Digichilli :(

I can log on fine with my Afrihost account.

Anyone else having this problem?
 
i have no clue how torrents really work but im guessing some seeds or peers may be local so you are downloading fast from them but not from the majority of others.. would that make any sense?

If you assumption is correct - then that makes perfect sense.
 
if my assumption is correct - i want seacom working again..

..actually that would be nice either way.
 
I know they say Seacom is the issue - but why is my Afrihost prepaid account working fine on intl http downloads?

I wonder the same thing. My guess is that Afrihost uses a different kind of system with backup running over SAT/3 or even satellite maybe?

Can anyone tell us?
 
Even on my saix account max torrent speed im getting is 20kbs where i usually get 420kbs with the amount of seeders on this one. At the same time I'm getting full speed on news server.

With the digichilli account im getting slow torrents and about 25kbs on news server..
 
Right now I am getting between 150 and 200 kB/s on my torrents, though it's mainly due to a very well-seeded one with (I suspect) a few local seeds. I was getting in the region of 30-50 kB/s when I started that one, though.
 
Digichilli has not started well - I registered and paid - straight away. They promised on more than one occasion 'free December' - retracted now. Connection within 48 hours. And they are impossible to phone!
 
sounds to me like chilli has the same issues as screamer - coincidence? Besides Seacom, they both use the same company to get them connected to seacom!... Perhaps that's where the problem is!
 
If I had that kind of speed problems lasting a week, I would terminate immediately and place a stop order! Gekco - that speed's pathetic even for a 384k line, and its below the guaranteed speed of 256k! (30Kb odd)
 
The average (55-60meg) per hour is terrible. If this keeps going, then I'm going to cancel.

Cmon DC. Make us happy!!!

Edit: IS News Server gives about 30meg-40meg per hour on UNCACHED stuff.
 
It was working much better previously, you must have seen the notice that Seacom is at fault and there is nothing DC can do about it?

Haven't seen the notice.

But weird. WA trail went 110%. Had no issues (and they use Seacom?).

But I'll give DC till end of the month. I'll keep my other accounts for now.

As far as I know WA used their own infrastructure to a degree, not relying total on others, like Digi and others. I used many gigs during the WA trial and it was awesome. Gonna tag along with Chilli, if they fix their stuff sometime this month, until WA releases their products...

Edit: if WA gives uncapped for R100 more, I'll take it.
