Has Digichilli Launched?

Just recieved this email regarding the whole process

Welcome to your Chilli World
Thank you for joining our Chilli-world. With your help, we are trying to change the world - or at least the way ADSL works in this country. Thank you for helping us do this and being part of the new wave in South Africa.

New users and connectivity:
Our intrepid test users can continue to use their current test userids and passwords.

For the people that have subscribed and are waiting activation information, we will be sending that out by tomorrow.

We are busy making sure that further people can sign up without a glitch and also choose to change their packages at that point.

We are checking users packages and payments. We will not collect any money online within 48 hours. Even if you paid the incorrect amount, we'll adjust it to the amount, if less, than what you put in to be in line with the discounts we're giving to you for the part usage of December and some people for being testers and others for being early to register, i.e. before Friday 4th December.

While testing yesterday, an incorrect message was generated for some users saying that they qualified for the free package in December. If you were one of those, we apologise for the mishap and for getting your hopes up about a freebie. Nevertheless, we are sure that our discount structure for December is more than fair and if you're not happy with what we are offering you do have that 48 hr delay to cancel or change something. Please mail us at support as well so we can make sure we don't mess up again.

EFT Payments
Any people that have inadvertently paid a higher amount to DigiChilli via EFT, will be credited for that amount in the following month. EFT activation can take up to 48hours due to the manual process required.

Passwords
It can take up to 24 hrs to get your useird and password information to you.

A mail will be sent to your directly with your ADSL login userid and password that you will need to connect to the Internet.

We are just as impatient to get you on our highway and that will still happen today.

Thank you for your understanding and support in this momentous launch.

Chilli Team

So Monday has come and gone and still waiting. Cant believe this isn't an automated process. But I guess they are a new company and still working on their systems

They are currently working on the site encryption issue, so in the meantime they are manually processing the accounts.

I think they are two separate issues. I paid by credit card (on the unsecured site, but anyway...) before the site was taken down for maintenance to sort out their SSL certificates. But the issue is that I dont think their payment system is linked into their user / adsl allocation system

Just recieved this email regarding the whole process

Thanks, I didn't receive that yet, and it helps to understand their situation, I was hoping to get my account today, I'm quite eager to start downloading... my first project: All Armin van Buuren ASOT episodes!!!

Then I want to start a local torrent that contains everything... so that the local Armin fans can download with local cap... I have the 2 concurrent connection option, so my home line will serve and my gf's line will do the rest :)

I wasn't willing to enter my credit card details on the unsecured site so I guess I'll have to wait until the site is back up (with SSL sorted)

Ok seriously... wtf is going on here? I registered before the 4th for a service that was to start the next day. I then paid yesterday, expecting my login details within 24 hours. I phoned the call center, told them its been 24 hours, and was told I would be emailed my details very soon. Now the call center directs to the website, which is down... again. Where are my login details? I've phoned, I've emailed, I've paid, I've waited, just what more am I expected to do?

Raedwulf, I've already mailed you twice to ask for your details so that I could resolve your issues.

Please do so if you want help.

Thanx

On the plus side, it looks like CambodiaDave is working late tonight, so we might still get the email this evening :-)

R300 for what seems likely to be half a month is annoying me... Are there no reductions as the month ticks by?

I'm duplicating a post again, but..

Well I am very happy to announce that I am now officially communicating with you all via digichilli uncapped.

A big thank you to Dave, Hilton and all the Digichilli staff.

There is a 20% discount for Dec, so you're only paying R240.

So, Raedwulf gets online because of complaining... nothing against you Raedwulf, and glad to see you are up and running... but I feel I need to complain more than be patient as this seems to be the way to get connected... I am really not impressed that it comes down to this. I paid in full (R500) yesterday at around 6:00pm and it is now 9:20pm, which is over the 24 hours I was told, by the website, Dave's messages and the call centre.

I would also like to say a big thank you to the DigiChilli team, and i do appreciate all the hard work that has gone into the launch, but at the moment I have paid for a service which I am not getting.

Goswald, I have to agree with you there.

Dave, any feedback on how far Digichilli is with the logins ?

The last I heard was at approx. 15h00 ?
