Has Minister backtracked on SAT3 exclusivity?

Didn't the minister recently announce that the only cables allowed to land in SA would have to be owned by SA companies? Telkom does not have more than a 50% shareholding in SAT3, so pretty soon we will be without any international cable!

And the SAT3 cable does not look anything like her, well in size maybe - finished the chords and bones of the song, but I am due to overhaul the studio, so it will either be up late or early - thinking of lines, like " she sat on sat3 and she squashed it " (has a reggie feel) - then maybe " ..... and she botched it "

I appreciate the objectivity of the article, but in reality we all know that the "minister" (minister is a word that means "to serve") runs her daily agenda based on how lumpy her breakfast was this morning and whatever crap she heard on the radio station on her way to work in her Telkom sponsored BMW this morning. She does not have a farking clue as to what she is really doing. The words "totally and utterly incompetent" are probably too generous in her case, I am thinking more along the lines of "dangerously hostile and detrimental" the the interests of telecommunications in South Africa. She is a pawn, and a very bad one at that, but nonetheless completely ignorant of what her essential responsibility is. Did anyone even check what this woman's experience in the field was before she was hired? (and by "experience in the field" I'm not talking about picking corn on the farm).

Two words: mob justice! She needs it badly considering she's not being held to account.

I propose shoving a barge pole up her arse, hang it on the edge of the Carlton Centre, stand at the bottom and shoot metal pellets at her. Everytime someone hits, Telkom must cut it's data pricing by 1%

Can't we set up one of those useless internet petitions to have her dethroned? :p

When I first read the article my first reaction was fury and rage and . Then I read everyones posts and my fury and rage turned to laughter at what is surely the biggest joke in government.

Correction: I'm obsessed with being witness to the ritualistic and repeated napalming of Poison Ivy's arse.

Don't forget the napalm :).
