Yes I have. No issues as the packages came from Aramex. Learnt my lesson on how to order so the packages were shipped via courier and not via the post office where greedy hands used to misappropriate them.
Now it's all pretty local for me. 2 days to receive packages. Awesome!

I generally looked to see if it was fulfilled by Amazon. If it was then Aramex sent it. I've also had DHL but then I also reached out to the vendor selling on which ever Amazon platform I was using to see if they sent via courier.

Question for anyone that has used MYUS or Aramex, I just wanted to do you have to pay any extra import duties and taxes once your parcel arrives in South Africa.

and

Between the 2 services mentioned above which is the better one to use, those of you who have used both services.

Yes, but ZAR rate making amazon expensive now for more than it used to be.

Still makes sense vs local for a lot of things, but less than it used to.

As a chinese speaker, I usually do more taobao than amazon though.

You will pay VAT and duties. With MyUS you can prepay these. I don't think you will pay extra on top of that but they also won't refund the difference. Amazon's customs clearance will reimburse you. For example I purchased a Fluke multimeter a year back and Amazon refunded me R800+ in customs duties which they overestimated. With Aramex you pay the duties to to them. No refunds.

Which is better... well MyUS once it ships the item out, you deal with the courier. Aramex is the courier so the whole thing is on one system. MyUS usually uses DHL or Fedex and so deliveries are faster but not cheaper.

way too much…
I use Shipito to bring it here locally. Even some groceries too

Yes once, when I was obsessed with mechanical keyboards, bought myself an epomaker keyboard and with express shipping l got within a week, delivered to my doorstep using DHL

My SA based Alexa alerts me every time an Amazon order arrives at either my UK or US address. Then I can check on it with my Ring doorbell.
