It seems that is the case. My order was cleared on the 4th. It is still showing no movement.Delivery after it clears at Customs in Johannesburg takes bit longer longer now. Maybe because of the volume of parcels.
My one parcel was cleared through customs 2 days ago and still no indication when it will be delivered.
As far as I’m aware virtually no parcels are physically inspected or sent through "customs" it's all done digitally and automatically once the item leaves China and they are on the plane to South Africa. At that point they are then "cleared" through South african customs and they issue the duties invoice to the recipient, then once the parcel arrives in South Africa they are only released to the courier for final delivery after the duties are paid.When it lands in SA it has to go through customs. Buffalo handles this customs clearance which will include a SMS/email/phonecall from Buffalo depending on how they feel.
You will get a link to a payment page to pay your VAT/duties at that point.
