Just put in my first order, only R235 as a test, hopefully vat isn't too much

Delivery after it clears at Customs in Johannesburg takes bit longer longer now. Maybe because of the volume of parcels.

My one parcel was cleared through customs 2 days ago and still no indication when it will be delivered.
It seems that is the case. My order was cleared on the 4th. It is still showing no movement.

When it lands in SA it has to go through customs. Buffalo handles this customs clearance which will include a SMS/email/phonecall from Buffalo depending on how they feel.
You will get a link to a payment page to pay your VAT/duties at that point.
As far as I’m aware virtually no parcels are physically inspected or sent through "customs" it's all done digitally and automatically once the item leaves China and they are on the plane to South Africa. At that point they are then "cleared" through South african customs and they issue the duties invoice to the recipient, then once the parcel arrives in South Africa they are only released to the courier for final delivery after the duties are paid.

Buffalo has an representative that does the clearance but yes they do a bulk clearance based on the cargo manifest. A custom officer may do spot checks or inspect the entire cargo though.
It was just easier to explain the other way without going into pre clearance and payment stuff.

So, my parcels have been shipped. I ended up buying more stuff, damn Temu!

Anyway, some of you mentioned an email regarding the tax, when am I getting that exactly?

Two batches of my parcels have been shipped and I haven't received anything about the tax.
My first (and only) order was placed last Saturday 20:15 and I received my Buffalo tax email today about 10:00. 7 days.

Now to see how many days delivery to Northern KZN will take.

Edit: R480 order, tax R78.34.

Well, I tracked my package and it is already at customs. That order was made on Thursday.

Yes. Just ignore all the "urgency".

Everything is about to be sold out. Not.
I normally fill my basket over a couple of days and have had a couple of items "no stock" or "discontinued"

I dislike that the page is not accessible any longer and the item is not on any saved item or wishlist to see the description. Many times other stores are selling the same item but after a few days when you come back you can't see which items where removed.

Yes, but most of the time it is to push you to make the sale. There are some instances of truth to the "almost sold out" messages.

The wallet I bought on Thursday is already out of stock.

Wife uses the app she even got those spins twice and got the R1500 vouchers twice I haven't got any spins yet LOL

I just checked my basket and some items are sold out, but I also noticed if you scroll through pages there are many repeat products at different/same prices.

Unfortunately not all products have multiple listings.

Was the spins just random while shopping because I've never seen them?
Got it randomly both times it was on the main page when she opened the app just had to scroll a little bit down. The second time she got it I shared my cart with her so I can also score on my stuff

I think that they may be driving a campaign for SA, the discounts (and vouchers it seems) are not dollar conversions but Rand values nicely rounded.
