Very unlikely. Not sure where you live but I'd put the ETA at Tuesday for PE.

Anyone else getting their shipment handled by Speedaf/Meili?
Do they give you an invoice/breakdown of the cost calculation?

I've ordered an automatic watch, watch strap and a gaming mouse.
These items aren't for customs duty when I last checked.

My total is R1332 and they're charging me R420.50(~30%) for "VAT & Duty Amount to be paid".
Anyone had any luck with getting a detailed invoice from them?

The watch may be considered luxury goods and the invoice breakdowns I've looked at from Buffalo are pretty useless.
Eish...
I'll just have to try contact them again on Monday I guess...
I wouldn't bother, duties are near always between 20-30% in any case so it’s not far off and unless the duties are totally way off they won't budge, that's if you can even get a reply out of them which you probably won't.

My shipment is also by speedaf, i did not get a breakdown and got charged about 31% "tax". They are probably making money off that as well.

I've got a response from Meili. They actually sent me an invoice:

My items don't don't qualify for customs duty, but then they charge R367.50 for import VAT on R1332 worth of items.
Meanwhile the actual calculation of VAT=((Customs Value+10% thereof)+Non-rebated duties)×15% is R219.78, not R367.50.
I've sent them a message with my temu invoices and calculation lol
Let's see how this goes.

Goodstuff, lets hold them accountable. I will do the same.

Temu seems to think I'm French now... or worse, Canadian.

As always @chrisc has the best stories, they decided they liked his name so much that they wouldn't even bother charging vat, what awesome blokes.

I got some comfortable shoes delivered on Monday.

Temu itself is fine and quick. The only issue I have is the couriers. Buffalo especially does not allow you to pick a delivery date and now it's mainly a guessing game of which day it will be.

What was the order value and how much duties were you charged?

I though that I could stack the Fishland discount with the Freereward credit back but it did not allow. I imagined using the R800 voucher of R2000 card with Freereward and getting back from 30% of the R2000/R1200 to use for the next purchase. Could only use the already earned credit.

How does the free reward credit back work?
