If I didn't know better I would say that you must be a really patient person :p :D, don't expect data rollover anytime soon, but do continue to ask for it - IMO it's something we all want - even those that don't know that they want it, actually do need it :).

Yes, because everyone should be getting what they paid for :). Imagine if a grocery store said that you must return all goods if you hadn't finished it in 30 days, but they'll keep your money:eek:

any chance of getting a poll setup? maybe with some numbers v3g could forward to the peeps at VC this might actaully get somewhere?

Poll created with the enticing words "prepared to pay more upfront" to make Vodacom's bean-counters salivate at the thought of the possibilities...:)

I would vote for the 2nd last option:
Yes, I want Data Bundle Rollover - but I do not want to pay more;
But I haven't really used Vodacom in about 8 months and I won't do so whilst MTN offers me HSDPA and VC only GPRS..
Heh.. so I'll keep my itchy fingers off the vote button for now.. but maybe oneday..

And seeing as MTN does not have rollover either I guess I should just zip it.. :o

Incorrect logic here I think. You are more likely to get rollover from MTN if Vodacom start offering it to their customers:)

Yea.. you're probably right.. but seeing as I'm primarly a MTN customer and not a Vodacom customer I should probably be nagging them..

Besides in my case I'm afraid speed wins.. even if VC introduced ROPPDB's (rolling over pre-paid data bundles :D ) .. I'd still stick with MTN till VC can give me HSDPA.. so basically MTN doesn't need to offer me rollover ... yet!

Paying more for a bundle defeats the purpose of roll over which is to pay less. I will buy a larger bundle if I can afford it but I will not pay more for my bundle.

your eyes are getting heavy... you are getting very sleepy... listen to my voice...
you need data roll over... even if you do not need it you need it... it will force MTN and others to compete for your money... you want data roll over...

Too bad hypnotism doesn't work over the internet.. :p

Then again it's probably a good thing it doesn't as most likely the money hungry companies would've beat you to it and come here saying: "You want to pay more for less.. you don't want to complain about poor service.. you want to pay for lots of value added services which you never use.." etc. :D

grrrrr

All right! All right!  I give in.

There I've cast my vote.. :D

.. and actually right now I am using VC GPRS for the first time in ages.. my last MTN bundle reached the point of depletion yesterday.. so I decided to see if anythings changed with VC in my area.. seems stable enough as far as GPRS is concerned... but seriously, I'd have though they'd at least have EDGE by now..

They won't have EDGE, but since a certain forumite's rantings I would have thought they would at least have 3G.

I voted:
Yes, I want Data Bundle Rollover - but I do not want to pay more

I pay a small fortune for my 5GB bundle. Why should I pay more for what I've already paid for

Do you use your entire 5GB data bundle every month? If so, what size data bundle would you buy if it was valid for more than 30 days, and how long would you like such a data bundle to be valid for?

ya, i agree... ic, any possibility of getting the vote linked by rpm on the front of mybb.co.za for a day or 2 to help with voting? i think the *more* votes we can provide the more influential it'd be for vodacom?

The voting is very slow:(

Seems to be a two horse race at the moment between: pay more for rollover for 3 months and rollover at no extra cost.

It would be on the main [news] site if people kept feeding this thread with posts - the latest forum discussions would then show a link to this thread, however it might be more effective to just change the thread title to indicate that there is something to vote for...what do you think sky.akash?

What is important to note so far, is that out of 40 votes cast, all voters actually want data rollover, all that remains is to see what form of data rollover everyone wants - no one does not want data rollover. It would also be nice if this thread contained a lot more posts with ideas etc that have not yet been posted - maybe ask some friends & colleagues to cast their votes here & post their support for data rollover as well - momentum is needed...

Also, Vodacom doesn't have to limit us to only one type of rollover data bundle - there are many possibilities for new data bundle products.
