So anyone else experience this last night? The sound is about 3-4 secs behind the picture, and only on channel 170 (HD channel). Called them, and they said they are aware of the problem and are looking into it. Switched TV on this AM....and its still like that? Sheesh...do they even know what they doing there???

Are you using the dolby surround sound "language"? Changing it to family or original improves things.

This issue has been reported, you can check out their forums for other people complaining about the same thing.

Will check it out, but have not changed a thing on the HD PVR or my home theatre system, so not understanding how it just suddenly "switches" over like that? Thanks for the tip...will check out the DSTV forum....which takes forever to load. Given...watching stuff in HD is great....but damn it can be frustrating at times

The DSTV forum loads very quickly for me - never had a problem with that. It's just a pity that the rest of MCA's offerings, i.e. HD and the HDPVR are so bad. But there has been a lot of discussion around the sound issues .. and yesterday they claimed :erm: to have resolved the lip-synch / delay issues

EDIT: MCA quote added ...

Many thanks for the reports (specificaly relating to the issue from yesterday on the M-Net HD channel). It was escalated, investigated and resolved.
If you notice specific incidents relating to lip-sync on the M-Net HD channel, please log in PICTURE/AUDIO QUALITY section of the forum.
