HD DSTv - transfer direct to external harddrive

Hi,

Is there a way to transfer what u record on either SD PVR or HD PVR to an external harddrive? I have seen there are usb ports but whether they work is another thing?

Up till now, I have been recording various shows and clips (Carte Blanche, interviews) on the HD PVR and then using my DVD Video recorder to playback and record, however the quality is not that great.

Surely there must be a way to plug in an external harddrive and transfer the recorded PVR file directly to the harddrive?

Any suggestions please?

AFAIK the USB ports are disabled.

Link your decoder to your PC via a TV tuner card and capture it on your PC.

+1. The broadcast is encrypted as well, so you won't be able to have "normal" playback on a pc

ive been working on this one for quite a while and ther isnt a way.
The USB port on the PVR is a glorios IPOD charger, you cant use it for anything.
