I'm frustrated  with the new HD-PVR.

The Scheduling Records record only when they want to.... only have it for 3 weeks and had to setup all the recordings more than 4 times (a lot of unnecessary work)

Is there anything I can do to solve this issue? The updates is scheduled for 03:00 and I know the upgrade is up to date.

Please I will appreciate it if someone can come up with a solution.

Not much you can do, just punch them in each week :D

it will only be one punch to much and then everything is over.....

You shouldn't be having these problems, you need to check your installation. What type of instal do you have?
Which HDPVR do you have, UEC (silver) or Pace (black)?

Well the PVR is brand new and it's doing it from the 1st week. I've got the silver one.

well I don't know how the installation must be done but according to the guys that done the installation everything is perfect.

Of cos they will say that, if you are slightly technically minded ask them what type of install they did for you & we can give you suggestions on what to check

ok thank you, what types to you get? I just want to ask them more detail.

SatCR - you will have 1 cable from the dish to the decoder (dish might have 2, with another going to a 2nd decoder)
Twin LNB > multiswitch - 2 cables from dish going to a multiswitch, 4 cables from multiswitch going to decoder
Quad LNB - 4 cables from dish to decoder

You could check this out yourself by following cables

I've got this installation: Twin LNB > multiswitch - 2 cables from dish going to a multiswitch, 4 cables from multiswitch going to decoder and the there is a professional splitter in as well to hook up the other TV's.

ok, at the back of the decoder there are 4 LNB ports (i think thats what they are labelled)

LNB 1 is your live TV
LNB 2 your 1st recording
LNB 3 2nd recording
LNB 4 TV guide, info etc

1st thing to do is check all cables are fastened tightly, it would seem you have a problem with either cable 2 or 3
Try to 2 recordings at the same time to check

If the problem continues check if you have any spare ports on the multiswitch and use those. This will be the case if you have a 2>6 switch. If you have a 2>4 switch & everything is tight then try connecting the port which might not work so well to LNB 4 on the decoder

Problem solved, it was a faulty Pvr unit :-) and they exchanged it on Thursday.
