Hello all

looking for a budget friendly headphone with removal cable

kids use the headsets for xbox and they dont worry about the cable

so want one where i can change cables instead of headsets

I bought a set of Volkano Impulse headsets. Was cheap, about R230 from Game. Just use it mostly to watch TV late at night and don't want wake the whole house. Works pretty well and have had it for just over a year now. What I really like about it is that using it wirelessly, it doesn't suffer from that sound delay that I have experienced with other headsets.
Edit to add that I can use it with and without the cable.

I wouldn't recommend these if its for children, I also bought a set for around that price at Game in fourways for my son and the soft ear cups/earpads fell off after 2 days and I returned and they replaced and something happened after about 3 weeks but otherwise everything else was ok as you mentioned.

Unfortunately I cannot comment on the gaming side of it but I did watch the F1 GP on Sunday night, if that counts. Had no issues with lag or delays. After more than a year of relatively regular use. it's still good as new.

Budget friendly and has a removable cable that can be replaced : Linky
