Healing Heriocs

The instance is: Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom. Got the achievement for killing all the bosses (we decided to do Normal instead of HC after I died for the billionth time)

The groups of spiders I'm talking about is, as you enter the instance, down the ramp, the very first mobs you encounter. It's probably those skirmish guys you are telling me about because I stayed back (I'm a healer, what else) and was pulled in several times and died.

Some of the time I wasn't even pulled in, I was just range attacked by all 3 at once. **** knows what they threw at me....

Hellfire

Lifebloom's final heal does not generate aggro, only the HoT section of it so its nice for a snap pre-cast heal

AN - Kill skirmishers first, they'll randomly aggro and can't be removed

OK - shadowcasters must be nuked and interrupted as they'll shadowsickle and kill everything in site in about 3 seconds

Those where the ones. And then your Tank sucked :D

Cool, because I have the Staff of Trickery for my Feral spec, and up and till last week Sunday I didn't have a decent healing weapon, so I figured I'd enchant it with +63 spell power so long. Had someone laugh at me for that, and I was like "wtf, if you have a better weapon then gimme"

This was after I couldn't keep up with heals in OK HC the first time around (didn't have Healbot yet and didn't know much about which rotations fit best together). I had a guy in the pug pointing out and going "wtf" and I was like "what??" and he just left the group letting us hang there.

Did do much better though the first time than yesterday, but then again I think we had a decent tank. I felt so bad for everyone wiping, I seriously thought it was me because I kept getting whispers from the group leader going "wtf??"

And he's like "don't you have like a shield spell or something". Sure, Barkskin and Thorns (Thorns keep those little spideys off me quite nice), but Barkskin only keeps me from not being interrupted with a little damage block.

I have a new trinket though that has a shield effect and returns 1500 mana to me after... so maybe try push that into rotation as well, but yet.

I feel better now for not sucking so much as I thought I did :)

As an Example and I can see why you're getting agrro off the bat. So here is my 2c.

1. Tank (Warrior) is pulling using a gun or single target Taunt
2. All 3 aggro Then at that very second you're heal goes through and 2/3 aggro on you.

Now this is where the tank is failing. To cancel your aggro he should be doing any one of these:

1. Demo Shout (This should be enough to cancel the aggro from your first heal.)
2. Thunderclap if they are running past him to get to you
3. Multi mob Taunt.

Now out of those 3 number 3 would be the easiest. And if he can't even get one of the above right in said cenario, I don;t see him/her getting much further. If you know the tank get him to work on his single, Mutli mob taunts and AoE aggro.

If not let him die down the PUG ladder :D

I just spoke with the group leader of last night and he said the tank we used was crap and they tried doing several instances but he (as a mage) then took most of the aggro.

Now that I think about it, the Warrior did pull with a gun...

OK - shadowcasters

Warrior should be either:
a)Charging,TC,walk back and shockwave/Concussion Blow to stun the Shadowcaster and nuke or
b) have a ranged interrupt ( shaman,mage ) interrupt the cast or
c) Death Knight deathgrips the mob over at which point the warrior taunts

Our Ulduar geared teams can still be dead in 3seconds due to those mobs if not handled efficiently - don't feel bad if your tank is dumb as a brick

As a Pala tank I don't have that problem :) My ranged silences targets for 3 seconds. So casters run to me :p

And what is wrong with that? ;)
At that ramp there is one spider that patrol between the two groups, pull it when it is in the middle of the two. Kill it and then walk between the other groups without killing them ;) fight the next groups inside.

Pulling with a gun is fine, if you know how to generate AoE aggro.

Now he failed at 2 points:

1. Generating AoE aggro
2. Getting within range of the caster

avengers shield, consecrate, judge, hammer of the righteous, (if con = dead; refresh), start 9696 rotation.

WTF is Bubblewall?

I keep on hearing and seeing this raid warning in our Guild with one Pala tank. I'm assuming it's that +30% block thing (Which I keep up always). But they all shout over vent "Get Bubble Wall up!"

I have no bloody idea what they are referring to :D They don't shout it at me because I PUG tank on my Pala mainly. Did one or 2 OT runs with the guild. Just damn curious as to what it is.

I know what Shield wall is for a warrior but never heard of a Bubble Wall :D

To echo your group leader, WTF?

Healers don't use thorns on themselves. Period.

Thorns

bubble wall is divine shield, reduces all incoming damage by 50%

I made this mistake once during Heroic Jaraxxus, lets just say if I didn't have Lay on Hands keybound i'd be the talk of the raid

I had my divine shield right next to my Bubble at one stage. Was in ZF still around level 40 something. Now just as you go up the passage after the long fight with those 5 Alliance guys. Ok so first I pull the crocodile thingies. All goes well. Then comes those 4 snakes right. Damage gets a bit heavy and I want to use Devine Shield. Bam I push the bubble button. All aggro gone and the group wipe :D That was my noob moment.

Another in BG's I run the last flag it's a very close battle and we're 2/2. I have the flag and we have great defense. I run the flag up our tunnel and the alliance is beating down on my, already burnt my LoH and Devine Shield. I'm so close but yet so far, I figured..... Bubble now and I'll make it. About 20 yards away from winning........ Bam I bubble and the flag drops :D They returned it and gone on to win it eventually. :D
