Surely if one starts buying bigger sizes, it's an indication of weight gain?

Aargh, had a whole reply typed then pressed the wrong button. Damn this tiny keyboard!

Weight gain doesn't always equal size gain - I can put on easily 5kg and not notice any difference in clothes (and no, I don't live in baggy sweatpants).

It does add up over time, of course, but if you only notice a size difference after picking up 10kg it's more difficult to correct it than if you noticed after 2kg.

Been going to gym since beginning of 2009 and still going very strong :) just takes motivation. A personal motivation that is...everyone wants to lose weight and/or bulk up and have a super body we all know that. The thing is why? If the "why" part is strong enough emotionally then I think you should do ok :)

It takes a loooot of time as well. Don't expect to see results and feel great and all the BS even in 4-6months (I look in the mirror and say where?? yet family and friends say they can easily see the diff). Try and rather enjoy gym and push yourself...I get the feeling I am wasting my time and money if I don't push myself while I am there.
