I upgraded my PVR to Explora yesterday and want to set up my PVR for Extraview. I've connected everything and the Explora is working great, problems with the PVR for Extraview. I get error E143-4 regarding the heartbeat from the Explora. I've checked the Explora and it is sending the heartbeat.
My question is this:
Should the heartbeat cable go from the explora rf out to the pvr rf in? I read somewhere it should go from out to out? Surely that's not right?
Also, prior to the explora my pvr was set up as the primary decoder and we had another decoder acting as the secondary. Could the heartbeat problem occur because i didn't specifically change the pvr decoder setting from primary to secondary?
Thanks in advance.

You need to make sure the settings of the HD-PVR matches where you plugged the heartbeat cable into, whether its in to in, or out ot out is irrelevant.

The heartbeat cable can go from either RF port on the Explora to either on the PVR, as long as you've selected the same port in the decoder setup menu. Yes, that could be the reason - switch your PVR to secondary.

It should go from the RF OUT on the Explorer to the RF IN on the PVR. I have setup where the PVR is my primary and the Explora is my secondary device.

Afternoon I have two new exploras conected with hartbeat cable works fine for week the get problems with both resetting if you press volume key whats wrong

If you touch the cable does it have a vibration? If not then the cable is faulty and should be replaced.
