It looks like you're experiencing some sort of noise on the line, you're getting it on the upstream because your upstream isn't interleaved while your downstream is.

I don’t have a phone connected so I took out the filter think I will check the line connections or phone Telkom

The filter is just to prevent noise caused by the phone from interfering with the DSL, no phone means you don't need a filter. How many hours did it take to accumulate those errors?

I don't know, look if gaming/ping sensitive applications aren't important to you, then you can ask telkom via twitter to put you on a higher level of interleave, but my advice is as long you're not seeing speed degradation or sync loss you should just live with it :)

Hi Kory05. Looking at your attenuation of 46,0 dB ... the length of your copper wire to the exchange is 3,3 km. That’s tough.

How do I do that sorry for all the questions don’t know much about this

Hi IchigoK. To interleave your upstream line, as suggested by Lishen23, you’ll have to ask Telkom to install ASSIA on your upstream. ASSIA is already installed on your downstream, that’s why it’s interleaved.

Most members complain about ASSIA, saying that it slows down their ADSL. Obviously ASSIA has a lot of good as well.

Just wanted to update I changed my channel from 11 to 6 last night and I see no errors now so not sure if I should still tell Telkom to install the Assia or leave it
