I've tested HEIC, and no problems with Google Photos, WhatsApp or Lightroom.Basically with - seemingly - the biggest negative of HEIC being incompatibility, I was wondering from those that have used it where they have struggled ? Google Photos ? Outlook etc ? In other words, personal experience .
@bwana Deep Fusion is the iPhone equivalent of HDR ? I see you specifically mention the iPhone 13 with regards to disabling? It's the only one with issues?

EDIT: I see it's also been resized and compressed.
Despite what it indicates 72gb of my storage is used by audio books...
Looks like it works with Crome as well.
If sharing this media using other methods, such as AirDrop, Messages, or email, the media might automatically be shared in a more compatible format, such as JPEG or H.264, depending on whether the receiving device supports the newer media format.
That seems likely.I'm sure it's iOS doing the actual conversion, not Safari and/or Chrome:
A lot - too many perhaps and quite a few duplicates since I started moving away from the native app and started using BookPlayer instead. I need to move them all across and clear the app.How many audio books do you have and where do you find time to read them all?
Any idea where I can get a free extension where I can open HEIC files ? Half the company have iphones and it works on their PC's but not on the non Apple users PC's

Seems they removed it. Apple should just move on over to AVIF. Not sure why they picked a royalty mess codec. Thanks HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer is only for Windows 10, there is one for Windows 11 but you need to pay 1$, not a lot of money just irritating
So this still a issue it seems. I set my Samsung to use Heic and Hevc in the camera app. Tried to post pics on a thread just now and it gives a error when trying to upload the files. Had to disable it in camera app and take new pics. Is it difficult to enable newer and more efficient codecs on forums like MyBB?
