Helderberg mostly without power after Eskom transformer switch on goes wrong.

Woke up at 3:40 as I hear my aircon shutdown and garage motor start beeping ....

It's 11:31 and my generator has been running since 6:30am (I needed my coffee, Okay)

So it seems a switchover to a new transformer went wrong this morning, knocking us out.

My ward councillors wife does not even know - I had to tell her.

It's an Eskom fault so information is not flowing. Politics as someone somewhere wants to make someone else look bad.

At least my generator is powering my appliances, aircon and internet today at home. This is now the longest I've ever had it running. It has an 8hour duty cycle at 100% load.

Cellphone tower batteries get stolen country wise. I have absolutely no connectivity during loadshedding on any network. Even my fibre goes down.

Back at the office 3 days a week and I'm spending R2K more a month just in petrol. That is how I paid my aircon last year Jan, took all the petrol money I saved and bought a R15K Daikan inverter for the bedroom (my home office).

Here MTN goes missing. But Telkom and Fibre seems to stay online. Telkom being the most reliable.

Still down here in Parel Vallei, and now the rain is stuffing up my plans for a braai tonight...

Our power came back on about 30 minutes ago here in Bridgewater.

I see still down in CBD as I just came back from fetching my daughter at Beaumont.

In Bridgewater we are up but I think we might be on a main feed as we have also not experienced any load shedding this week.
