Not sure about this; Apple primarily makes money from hardware not software... If anything I think they'll try to find find a way to prevent hackintosh devices.

I think they don't really care about the hackintosh scene. It's been going for years and they could have tried way harder to stop it, but have never done anything. The big secret is that everyone who hackintoshes eventually buys a Mac anyway ;)
