I have a 4Mb ADSL line. Mweb is my ISP - I am on Business Uncapped. Usually my ADSL line works fine synce'd at 3Mb (Far too slow for my liking but stable nevertheless - I am around 4-5km from the exchange). For the last 2 weeks my line keeps dropping and my speed is not stable - seems to work in spurts and splutters. I have called M-Web and dealt with a lady who has been very helpful. Have also dealt with Telkom who was here yesterday. Telkom insists my line is clear and there is nothing wrong. They have rebooted DSLAMS etc etc. He plugs in his laptop and router and of course it works wonderfully. My ADSL does work wonderfully - for short periods of time. I have to keep rebooting my CISCO router (supplied by M-Web) 3 or 4 times a day and force a re-sync of my line. Telkom says all in fine / M-Web says all in fine. The only solution Telkom has is to drop my line down to 2Mb or even 1Mb. My point is that it has worked fine on 3Mb in the past, only just recently had a problem. How do I resolve the issue?
