Hi Guys And girls

im in the process of having my 4mb line installed with telkom.
now im currently looking for a decent ISP.
my requirements are:
gaming
downloading mostly series (torrents)
youtube
browsing

gaming and downloading being the most important, and would also like my ports forwarded

mweb has a nice deal with their free router but been readin alot of horror stories on here.
telkom seems to be ok any feedback for telkom, i have my own router so the mweb deal isnt that much different from telkom.
hows the other isps like afrihost etc

Morning, why not give MWEB a go via our FREE 7 Day trial:

Budget and monthly data requirements?

I been using WebAfrica since the beginning of the month and have been incredibly impressed with their product!

If you prepared to do all the heavy lifting between 12am-6am there is amazing value to be had.

For the month of December only they will give you unlimited data to use between 12am-6am so now would probably be a good time to give them a trial run.

Dont go mweb they killed torrents.

Go Afrihost I love them. And torrents works.

Note : I experienced WA lately and will say if you schedule correctly they are also very appealing

Oh forgot to mention its for uncapped internet.

Also be sure to check out Axxess. I'm in the process of switching from Telkom toAxxess because torrents are so cr@p on Telkom. Line transfer still has to happen, but I'm already using Axxess for data (4Mbps Business Uncapped) and its MUCH better

MWEB is decent if you get the right account. If you plan on backing up the Internet rather get Premium. Not Standard.

The problem with AH is the only thing that works is torrents.

Gaming and Netflix are both crap.

agree if u want to torrent 24/7
AH business are the way to go:)

streaming/etc just do after 12 downloads WAand it will be real good :)

Uncapped is very over rated. There's a superior product to be had in the form of capped, unshaped and with Axxess double your data promotion and WA's after hours data, the value is there too.

I ask again: How much data do you envisage using per month?

I'm with AH Business and it's awesome. Unshaped 24/7. The feedback thread here indicates that some people are struggling with their accounts, but it's definitely working great in PE.

Business uncapped is superior to capped.

Yeah, but at twice the price?

It must be pretty bloody good cause what I'm seeing from WA's bog standard home, capped account is excellent!

I'm doing the heavy lifting between 12am-6am but when I've needed to pull a file during office hours its worked beautifully!

Also maintain a Teamviewer session with work 24/7 and it's stable and fast!

Xbox updates seem fast and when live play lags it's minimal but it seldom lags.

Must say, so far I've found very little to complain about!! I've had experience with WA after sales service and it's pretty unimpressive but the need for support is negated by a product that works and works well!!

At R599 for 200gb+400gb (12am-6am) value for money is hard to match, let alone beat, 10mb line...

+- 80 to 100GB a month well first 2 months or so after that it will be less

From personal experience, WebAfrica home capped is very good and with their December special, you can download the internet - six hours at a time. They often run specials as well so you get more for your monies here and there.

Uncapped isn't necessary imo unless you're doing excessive downloading or use tons of bandwidth for whatever reason.

EDIT:

Nah then get yourself some capped data. Try out s few different ISPs if you wish.
