help choosing a ISP

From personal experience, WebAfrica home capped is very good and with their December special, you can download the internet - six hours at a time. They often run specials as well so you get more for your monies here and there.

Uncapped isn't necessary imo unless you're doing excessive downloading or use tons of bandwidth for whatever reason.

EDIT:

Nah then get yourself some capped data. Try out s few different ISPs if you wish.
this is just for me, my brother will be sharing with me so im not sure what he will be doing on the net, hence the uncapped, even tho the FUP will probably cap us at 100-130GB on a 4mb line, this capped internet also looks tempting

Afternoon, 4Mbps premium shaped package has a threshold of appr9oximately 400GB and we do not consider uploads in the threshold.

Price: R539.00 p/m for a data only package.

thats going to be over my budget tho

what im basically looking for is a torrent and gaming friendly ISP
ill mostly be playing local servers anyway. so yeah thats my main needs right now
and allows port forwarding (not important but would like it)

Yeah, but at twice the price?

It must be pretty bloody good cause what I'm seeing from WA's bog standard home, capped account is excellent!

I'm doing the heavy lifting between 12am-6am but when I've needed to pull a file during office hours its worked beautifully!

Also maintain a Teamviewer session with work 24/7 and it's stable and fast!

Xbox updates seem fast and when live play lags it's minimal but it seldom lags.

Must say, so far I've found very little to complain about!! I've had experience with WA after sales service and it's pretty unimpressive but the need for support is negated by a product that works and works well!!

At R599 for 200gb+400gb (12am-6am) value for money is hard to match, let alone beat, 10mb line...

Problem is the mental restriction.

I wouldn't be able to take knowing I have a cap. I rather pay more.

that 6mb line from mweb looks perfect but dont think my area supports more than 4mb, is there a way to check the max speeds of an area?

Yeah, Axxess capped would be perfect as would WebAfrica if you prepared to schedule your downloads for 12am-6am. Utorrent has a very easy to use scheduler and most download managers do too so it really isn't a biggie.

Yeah, fair enough. My issue with the capped account is the opposite. I can't bear reaching the end of the month knowing I haven't used my cap. :p
