Am I wrong to feel disappointed and disillusioned by the MyBB community right now? Or, is this just evidence that MyBB is not actually a community at all?

there is only a handful of active users on the forum, most of those views are unregistered guests.
 
Don't just comment, also do something on your own. Donate money or whatever you can, money or otherwise. We had a crate of old baby clothes from when my daughter was a baby - gave the whole lot to a lady in our estate that was collecting and taking to the DHL drop off. Who knows, maybe someone can use it.

There are currently 312 members visiting the site and only 232 replies in that thread (of which 30 are superfluous and probably won't count towards the donation) :o

The entire site. Not that thread. It might simply be going unnoticed.

PRM should send out and Email, not the normal email, no one reads that. A new email with only that thread/cause in it.

Also on Facebook and Twitter make that thread the sticky post on the wall.

I would have never seen it unless you directed me to it :o Hardly anyone goes to that part of the forum I suspect. I even bumped rwen's thread in O/T last night to point people there. I think it's of where it is on the forum to be 100% honest.

I never go in there. Only time I go in there is if someone says congratulations you've WON! via PM to check what I won where. I never go there or even read anything posted there. And I can assure you I'm not the only one.
