Help Me Build A Gaming PC

The new consoles use hardware, which is not quite as capable with RT as Nvidia hardware. So, they will have the effects turned down a lot in order for it to deliver playable framerates.

Look, it may be impressive, but I would not let it guide my purchasing decisions yet. I wouldn't choose Nvidia GPUs over AMD GPUs just because of Nvidia's superior RT performance.

But RTX + DLSS together makes it very difficult for me to recommend AMD, assuming pricing in line with RRP and there's actually enough stock.

Is there a special way to password protect a gaming rig or some of its expensive components? Evetech has an MSI RTX 3090 graphic card (24GB) going for R41 499.

What?

Yes.

Send me R10,000 and I will provide a Level 8 secure passphrase.

For another R1000 I will throw in a classy apostrophe somewhere

Is there a way to render a GPU or CPU useless when PC is stolen?
Unfortunately not. Closest thing is probably TPM, or even Bitlocker, but not really useful if they start pulling hardware that isn't the boot drive.

Not sure why it matters. If it's stolen it's stolen. Not like it's a phone with all your data on that you wanna prevent access to.
