Watch that budget. . . There is a point in the budget where it will be better to just go buy the new Vivo than an overpriced secondhand one.

The calculation you will need to think about is:
- cost of warranty for old vs included 5 year warranty on new one;
- cost of services for 3 years on secondhand vs free 60k km services on new one;
- difference in insurance costs between the 2;
- Etc.
I think at R160k for secondhand, it’s getting.

3 months back, new one was R200k on the dot (vw were running a special).

Advice on this please?
Went to view the cat and it's in excellent condition and drives quite nice.

I'm currently being pressured by my family to get a car. I made it clear in no certain terms, that I'm willing to only spend R100 to R120K max on it.
OT. What did you do with your Clio? :)

Clio? He owned a BMW he has advertised for sale here. Assume the Clio was before the beemer, which he's hopefully managed to finally sell at a good price.

R149 900 should be the price, they are still going to kill you with on the road costs, I would take it like that if it was an all inclusive offer.

Ask them for an offer, be chilled about it and make them aware that you know there are plenty of Vivos around, if you don't agree on the price you are not too desperate.

That sounds good, ask them for the offer and see if everything checks out, are you applying for your own finance or are they doing it on your behalf?

Does anyone perhaps know where to get the little vw badge behind the switch key?
