HELP ME with Pervasive SQL + Partner07

Hi Guys,

Need you help.

I am having more and more issues, maybe there is a workaround for this.

I have been trying to install Partner 2007 of various machine over the past year, I cannot run Win XP anymore as it does not support even dropbox which is essential for our team.

On Windows7 Service pack 1 and later I am faced with the following problem:

Install Pervasive SQL V8.6
Installation completes and runs test to confirm all is well and running.
As soon as you restart, SQL does not run. It starts up as is should but it does start the engine,
SQL V8 is running but it does not start the engine or connect to the workgroup.

What action to take, please advise.

I found it.

Just as a future help for someone,

Win 7 SP1 and up cannot pull the workgroup engine licence out of an XP Running as workgroup server.

Have to apply licences individually to machines running OS later than the machine running the workgroup engine/server.
