I don't agree with your statement at ALL. You may not have been happy with their uncapped account but I can tell you their softcap accounts are top notch IF not the best in SA. Just putting it out there. Its great value for money offering you uncapped data between 00:00 and 7am every single day and still give you great low latency and full line speed during the day.

Yes but that is your opinion. As for "pitiful support system" Range was always helping TI customers here. TelkomZA rep here called me so many times to fix my exchange congestion AND finally helped me with my line upgrade when the exchange was upgraded a couple of months later.

I sent in my cancellation to Telkom and later retracted it. No issues to report, apart from a line/sync problem that has nothing to do with TI and which TelkomZA (Charl) is currently assisting me with. From a support perspective, I can't complain. Anything I've needed assistance with, I've gotten via this forum. I only ever call 10210 if I really have to, but 99% of the time I get my issues resolved without needing to contact them. TI is the best bang for your buck right now. Give their Softcap package a chance for a while and judge for yourself. You're already signed up anyway![]()
I second that, when Ti works it works great. I'm not with them anymore but I really had no issues until the KZN IPC cock up came along - which is now resolved as far as I know.

If you took the Telkom Simple deal you should already have a 10GB softcap account?

Yes. Uncapped. Schedule your downloads to start at 00.10 and end at 06.45 to be on the safe side.
Its unlimited usage. So you can end of using 200GB during 00:00 and 7am daily and still find you have your 10GB data which is not even touched. If you do lots of social media like facebook and facebook videos and stuff that data would also be free no matter the time.
Log into the usage tracker. Click on the addons on the left drop down menu to see your usage for night surfer and social media data.
Can line speed only be upgraded by phoning or can it be done online ?
You have to call them. That speed is accurate for a 2Mb/s line.
