We have tried those, doesn't work.... they not strong enough they even said i should try remedy rescue.... nothing, and the thing is i'm not at home when the weather goes bad and i can not keep him drugged out the whole time.....
I poured chilly sauce and salt over the door this morning..... but if he doesn't worry about hurting himself i do not think that will work.
I really think he lost his marbles he started this now.... the thunder and door has always been there.
This is not a case of putting an animal down because its scared, the animal is hurting itself, so while you cannot just go putting an animal down if you can see its life is not worth it then yes. Devil humans don't have a choice like owners of animals do, there is nothing wrong with putting an animal down if it has a poor way of life.
Jip a huge yard to run around bath time his favourite best food (only at vet) he can dig holes everywhere just not the veggie garden sleeps inside the garage in a dog wendy with heater for the winter....
Lovely big brick house outside with duvet and pillows. He loves Maria (the lady that work for us) When she is there he is inside the garage with her, i can go on this is a pampered pooch.....
Ok so autistic people should be put down? Why not they hurt themselves and can't help it.
Putting it down is the LAST resort IMO.
Ps this animal does not have a poor way of life.
I am sure barring the thunderstorm times it is leading a great life.
Dude no skin on its, lips pretty messed, ramming the garage doors and what not, comparing humans and animals is kinda silly devil, there are alot of humans who i believe should be put down but it is not allowed, so again it makes no sense to compare the 2 as the one you have no choices. I did not say just put him down i said if it looks like his way of life is not good then put him down.
The pics i promised. We had to put in a new garage door the weekend .....

He remindes me of Ed from the Lion king
Why do I get the impression that the garage door and the damage is more of a concern to you than your dog's welfare?
He's a living creature who relies on you to provide him with a safe environment dammit and if you can't do that you should not have pets!
