Recently at a client I saw what appeared to be a lttle gadget connected to his TV from where he screened multimedia. This thingy had a usb stick inserted in it.

What are these called and where can I get one?

Nope, this was about the size of a packet of smokes and he had a usb stick with powerpoint stuff on it inserted into it.
