Find a friend with the TV and test it yourself. Reviews aren't the be-all and end-all. I can assure you that the PS51F5500 is plenty bright.
The 6400 is far better. I would have major regrets if i bought the 6030 tbh. Take it back.
Oh my mistake.
Again, my memory is fuzzy ... but weren't there a few threads on here created over that model also complaining that it was too dim?
My memory is a little sketchy but - um - didn't they list that as the dimmest TV ever tested?
You have absolutely zero genuine intention on this sub-forum. Sad.
Surely if the TV was as bad as you try to make it, they wouldn't give it a 9 out of 10 rating now would they?
I just took a look at the TV now with a Bluray, this TV is not dim man, lol..![]()
Ah but I do ...
See, left up to you alone every answer would be plasma F5500 without thinking that in some situations, an LED may be better. We both know that plasma is dim as it stands, but this F5500 is particularly dim and brought up over and over again.
I'd be weary of even suggesting it without knowing a little more.
The F6030 and F5000 LCDs are both on par in terms of PQ, not much between them. It's a very diluted 6 Series.
Either F6400 LCD or F5500 plasma (3D, latest SMART, dual core processor, touch remote).
I'm sad that you didn't go with the plasma after all the advice we've given you.
But if you do intend to do a lot of daytime/bright viewing, then LCD is a better option.
However if you prefer watching your movies with the lights off...
I just took a look at my TV now with a Bluray and have perfect blacks!
Its Monday! Its still January! Payday is still a whole week away.....but you got 55 inches more than you had this morning. Dude, that it IS a good deal!
Grab popcorn and a Fight Club dvd and enjoy.
Looking at the Samsung series 6 6030 55inch for 10999 down from 14k
Is it good?
Keeper - didn't we have this chat over quality and quantity and the only thing you wanted was bigger?
The cheapest biggest screen you could get?
Ah but I do ...
