Clearly you have to much cash. Guys thanks for the info on the modding. Do all of you guys that have the ps3 and 360 play on hd tv's? Unlike Lion fish i just have enough for the ps3 or the 360 elite.....Whats the eye candy like on normal televisions. What small hdtv would be sufficant?

It really is worth saving your cash for a bit and getting full HD (1080p) LCD screen with the new HDMI ports. The quality is miles beyond a normal non-HD or basic HD-'ready' screen.

For the best gaming a suggest (if you can afford it or save for it) a Sony Bravia or Panasonic Viera screen 37" or bigger.

Your friend is lying to you. Unless he knows more than the CEO and Sony Japan?

The 80GB PAL version was rumoured a long time ago and was denied time and time again by Sony. People are hoping for Sony to release another console with backwards compatibility however that goes against Sony's plans for the future.

They are going to be offering PS2 games to download instead.

The 80GB NTSC model is available to buy from certain places yes. However there are no plans to release a 80GB PAL model into the market.

AFAIK the NTSC model has also been discontinued so you are theoretically buying old stock.

Being able to import something from a different market is vastly different to Sony releasing a new model into our market.

Ok..so i finally made my mind up...PS3.Found 1 for 4200 with 3 games and the hd cable.

Thanks i plan on.Now just need to save for that full hd tv....should be able to get one in the next 5 years...when ps4 is out..lol.Guys thanks for all the props and cons on both systems.

I know how you feel! I still need to get a decent HD TV for my Xbox. It works ok as it is now, but still want one! Maybe in 5 years we can buy one together :)
 
Well prices are dropping all the time. Bar a hiccup in the rand, I imagine you'll be able to get 32" for arounf R4k sometime this year, maybe even less.
 
This is why I'm waiting....

42" available for only a lil bit more than I paid for my now stolen 32"....
 
32" Full HD R4k....will keep my eyes open wide....then will just have to find away to keep my wife off my back...so can get some GAME time.

Awesome you are replying to a post 5 months later ! firstly in feb 2008 the 80gig was just a rumour ! secondly the so called new 80gigs are the 40gig models with just a hard drive upgrade ! So u should shut up nd stop being like a ****er ! Check the post dates next time nuh

Uh... wasn't really aimed at you, i know the initial post is 5 months old. Thats kinda the point...

Why not click back a few pages and actually read them?

I made the initial post about the 80gig as my friend in Sony said it was due out late 2008. GavinMannion said he was talking ****, i just proved he was wrong.

Why not reply to a post where someone is actually speaking to you instead of just randonly posting irritating diatribe..
