Help ps3 or xbox 360

There are to many console wars going on at the moment. Don't buy the ps3, they make you pay more because it's "future proof", with the xbox you buy a current system now and with the money you save you buy the second system that will own the ps3. Thats the only true way of future proofing

I made the initial post about the 80gig as my friend in Sony said it was due out late 2008. GavinMannion said he was talking ****, i just proved he was wrong.

Actually _fish he's right, you should apologise.

The EU "80 Gb" is NOT the "The 80 Gb" it's a "40 Gb" with a bigger harddrive and all of it's shortcomings.

The reason people wanted "the 80Gb" was for backwards compatibility and the other features that got cut, which the "new EU 80Gb" still doesn't have. In fact the HDD size is really irrelevant because you can upgrade it yourself anyway.
 
I still seriosly think we need a xbox vs ps3 poll. please mods?
 
Here's my controversial addition to this thread - If I were looking to buy a console now, I'd prolly go with a PS3. I'd actually love to have a Blu Ray player now that the format war is settled. Also PSN is free.
 
I'll just flame the lot of you by saying Rock Band and Guitar Hero both suck ...... :p:D
