Help Thor Decide.

MSI GP72 or GE72 with the m.2 SSD etc etc supposed to be a high end laptop.

My Samsung Note 7 has a better built quality

Your gripe on it is the build quality? or the fact that it wont run the software you want?

Off topic ... thor how many tyre flips can you do? There's a Melkbos lady doing 1,333 x 75 kg flips over two days in the Waterfront this weekend. 100 tons is her target. Yikes!

Calling people sheep is a great way to seek help...
Any apple owner is a sheep.

I'm about to become one too. Not admitting your a sheeple is where the problem comes in that elitist personality because money.

Built quality terrible rounding off.

(I've hated on MSI way before running a Mac was on the table all my computers are MSI motherboards and used MSI graphics cards all the years then I switched my primary to Asus GTX and Asus ROG

MSI is k@k its cheap.

The laptop has good stats, but it's a k@k laptop.

So I'm now in between buying a Dell XPS load zorin OS or safe up become a sheeple member and by the MacBook pro 2017

Fck me.

I'd love to go watch do you have any more details?

I can do the 75kg ones for a thousand spread out over the day I guess.

We do around 100 flips in a 20 minute time frame sometimes more. I won't do it thou, I will be tired as hell and sore so this woman, #respect

Hence how long does that average for most Apple sheep here?

Currently using a late 2013 13" rmbp, feeling its age last couple months. Will upgrade next year, not going Apple though.

You don't need to upgrade all the time. Get top specced one and keep it two or three years. That being said top specced means 50k .

You spoke about running vms. MacBook pros max ram capacity is 16GB - something to keep in mind.

Eeeek.

Dammit 16Gb won't do it. That's what I currently have on the MSI and it's too little.

Hell where is the technology sector why don't we have our own local companies what's up with mustek why are they so quiet doesn't they manufacture computer components?

I believe they do. Or use to anyway. Haven't seen them around in a while though.

Why you considering laptop and not a desktop? Just curious. I mean you can buy damn decent desktop that can handle all your requirements. Or you need to be mobile?

Space

I've outgrown the half a room required for a desktop.

My house is wireless and everything is run by a selection of chromecasts and audiocasts

Fast AC wireless coverage everywhere a central 12TB NAS hidden away.

So all I need is a keyboard, mouse and 2 27" screens.

Would love to just plugg a little NUC on the screen itself and cable tie all the wires into one big wire.

I simply cannot wait for wireless power.

So build the desktop, stick it in your attic, attach e.g. http://www.wootware.co.za/asus-usb-ac53-wireless-ac1200-usb-adapter.html or http://www.wootware.co.za/asus-usb-ac56-wireless-ac1200-usb-adapter.html or run a LAN cable through the roof, use something like http://www.wootware.co.za/intel-stk...-storage-windows-10-32-bit-compute-stick.html and plug it into the screen, though you'll be limited to one screen, which you'll most likely hate. :p (though you can try http://www.wootware.co.za/j5create-jua350-usb-3-0-hdmi-display-adapter.html for two screens as the compute stick has a USB 3.0 port. Windows 10 should support multiple desktops if it is not the home version, not sure with that stick. Else just look for another program that support it. EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYUdAWOGJ_Y interesting.)
802.11ac I get 1ms or less latency as long as I am less than two walls away.

Just saying the above as an alternative as you don't seem to be able to make up your mind.
