Hi

Just started signing up for Mweb uncapped and found the the following in the agreement it says:

•Your first bill will include:
◦Pro-rata subscription: Payment for the current month's service.
◦Monthly subscription: Payment for next month's service.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

If i apply today will it take a full months payment for april?

What usually happens is if you activate your account today, you will be billed pro rata for this month, and then you will also be billed for your usage in May as well as your usage for June (june in advance)

So basically if you activate today, your bill will be R1131.90 for the 4mbps account. This will probably be charged at the end of May. The next debit order will go off in june and it will be the usual amount of R539 (I'm assuming you are going for 4mbps service in all calculations) paying in advance for July.

If you were to wait until 1 May, the first debit order would go off at the end of May for R1078 and that would be for May and June. I hope this makes sense :p

This.

So pro rata basically means i will be billed for the days that are left in the month?

(R539/30 = R17.97 per day) or is for the amount downloaded in those 3 days?

This is uncapped my friend... NEVER again will you have to worry about how much you have downloaded. You will be paying the R54 extra to have access from today. The usage is irrelevant :D

R1131.90 for 4mb uncapped is just insane with the high cost of living. internet is suppose to be a luxury, but some people have made it a need. Damn Telscum are raping you guys so much that you cannot feel it no more.

just my 2c

What's your solution for "us guys" that doesn't involve Telkom?

You do realise that is for 2 months and 3 days right? Obviously excluding the telkom line rentals etc. 4mbps all inclusive and telephone line will cost R1035 more or less...

Hi Bar_Rat,

I can arrange for one of our Billing consultants to contact you and explain in detail how the billing cycle works.

Kind regards,

MWEB Guy
