I wish to migrate from the old SD PVR 1 with Xtraview, to two
Explora 2's in two different rooms. Each planned as 1 view and
1 record. The system currently has a dual LNB.

1. Which installation layout is advised. I see some with a cable
switch, while the smart LNB is also an option.

2. Is a smart card required for the second Explora 2, or does
the second unit "see" the subscription through the switch or
smart LNB?

3. Is any config required to set up, other than the user band
1-2-3 frequencies ?

Thank you.

There is a trade in deal for the SD PVR for R999 that will give you an Explora2A, 80cm metal dish, smart LNB and 25m cabling to 1 point. You need a 80cm dish for the explora. You will then have to purchase the second explora. And yes you need a card which will come with the new decoder. All cards are paired to the decoder it comes with. User bands for 1st explora is default 0,1,2 and for the second one it is 3,4,5
