Hey guys

I have a friend that smells really bad but don't know if I should tell him because he will most likely be offended. He never used to smell this bad but recently he smells disgusting, it's like this smelly cloud hangs over him. One day he stayed over at my house and I had to literally wash everything he touched, now I make up lies why he can't come visit because I'm scared it won't come out next time.

So what you guys think is the best thing to do? Don't want to lose him as friend but I can't live with it any longer.

Is this a lack of washing or excessive sweating

No choice but to be straightforward with him. Either that or organise a pool party and as soon as he jumps in you attack him with Sunlight and Lifebuoy. Lifebuoy the soap, not the other one.

I have a similar problem. One of the people I work with has an unpleasant breath. Really tough sometimes ;(

Is he morbidly obese and struggling to reach everywhere or just lazy?

If you are good friends then you should tell him. He obviously is not aware of it. It might be a medical condition that can actually be dangerous.

Is it a sweet smell or just a "f$ck toilet paper, who needs it" smell

I don't think I could tell him to his face, call me a coward but I don't know how he would take it and not sure I want to find out.

Get one of your lady friends to show interest in him and then get her to tell him directly that he smells like schit.

That way you can maintain your friendship.

No, met him through another friend a while ago, he never used to smell this bad but since he's moved in alone he's let his hygiene levels go.
think of ways to get the message across anonymously. You know where he lives, work etc. go email or drop a handwritten/typed letter in his mailbox/ car/ briefcase where ever.
