They are called Pentium D by most hardware review sites, Prophecy refers to it as a Pentium E. In the end they are all Pentium Dual Core CPU's

I have R2500 for the whole case, excluding the graphics card. hard drive can be like an 80gig i want max performance

hmmm postman i am keen for the core 2 duo. im just hesitant cos i read in the latest pc format that the pentium d is only slightly different from the core 2 duo - plus its got mucho clocking headroom.
dunno how reliable pc format is though

Pentium D is old tech core 2 is the latest, P D is crap and should never be bought no matter what a stupid mag says and P D has zero oc'ability next to a Core 2 especially the 2*** series
