Help with Cloudflare and VPSSIM on CentOS 7

I'm in the process of setting up a vps and I want to move multiple domains to the VPS (soem are mine and some are sites hosted for friends). The VPS is based in US.

I've found recently with locally hosted sites hosted with Afrihost / JCW and others, that the sites are becoming incredibly slow and sometimes not at all accessible (load shedding?) I work with Wordpress a lot, for a while now everything seems incredibly slow. I thought it might be my connectivity but its the same no matter where I am what I connect through, mobile data or 10Mbps ADSL, its just unbearably slow both at home or at work or the coffee shop down the road.

So I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I'm setting up a VPS using VPSSIM but the guide I followed (http://www.servermom.org/faster-lemp-stack-setup-centos-7-vpssim/2071/) does not offer any info on DNS setup.

I have 5 domains each pointing to individual wordpress sites. I want to move all these individual sites to the VPS to run their own wordpress sites but not within a multi-site wordpress configuration. I can see how to create the wordpress sites using VPSSIM but I have no clue how to configure DNS. I'm assuming I need to use Cloudflare somehow, or not....

Any help is highly appreciated
 
a very simple solution to your DNS issue.. You have two options at the end of the day.. leave your current hosting packages active, and manage dns from these hosting packages, by updating your resources records to point to your vps ip address.. alternatively, if you are cancelling the hosting packages, some providers will park your domain, and provide you with a free hosting control panel account in order to manage only your dns.. again, simply update your resource records to point to your vps ip address.. this does mean you will have to transfer the domains to the specific provider you choose, and i am only aware of one provider that offers domain parking with the free dns management, and that is Web Africa.. im sure there are other providers as well, and you can have google for them..

one more thing, try catch a few extra zzzzzzzz's on saturday mornings.... :)

Maybe thats the trick... but here I am on a Sunday morning doing the same. I'm an early riser, I seem to be able to focus better in the morning otherwise I have internet ADD :)

EDIT: its actually 6.09 am but the timestamp says 4.09am.
 
it really is that simple.. and stupidity is not the same thing as not knowing.. :)
