Can I just suggest that your friend opts for a 64bit processor?

I don't really think that there's any reason to stay with 32 bits.

And consider a small factor machine like the Shuttle if you're gaming.

My AMD64 SN85G2 Shuttle is getting a bit long in the tooth now (3 or 4 years old) but it still goes like hot snot....

A lot of the processors released these days are 64-bit compatible if I'm not mistaken?
