I'm so Goth, my wrists slit themselves
Hi guys need a little help

A few years ago. I got a cheapy totolink G300R 3G/4G wireless router. Was suppose to plug in my huawei modem and job done apparently the router had extremely poor modem support. The end result was I could never use the damn internet on router which made it pretty pointless.Never got around to getting a new one, and not going to buy one right now.I have to renew my data contract early in march next year might as well get a router then, as that is the only means of internet access here, so might as well take a device then.

In the mean time I would still like some wireless access via the router, with internet.

So I need some assistance, whether or not it is possible to share the internet access I have (The PC) with the wireless router, if possible I am a little stupid when it comes to networking things.

The PC has USB nano 150mbps wireless USB device attached and I can also connect via LAN port direct to the router, from a quick search it seems I need to connect the lan port to the router and go to network devices and allow sharing the internet with this device.

Easy enough, what befuddles me is the wireless router what settings should I be using with this method of sharing the PC internet, Sure I can create a wireless hotspot with connected nano USB wireless device.Which works perfectly fine.

I have a device here, that requires wifi access with internet access, the device strictly only allows wifi, so adhoc connections won't work. So I would like to share internet access with the wireless router, and have the device connect via the wireless router to the internet as required.

Some assistance would be appreciated. What operation mode should I be using and what settings after that.Supplied is the link to web demo of the router which should greatly help in assisting with various menu's and settings.

Piece of shyte router

What I figured out to do.

Connect the lan port to the wan port on the router, bridge the wireless connection and Rj45, in the USB modem properties share the internet with the new bridged connection.Problem I have now is I can't connect to the router settings page to set WAN to DCHP to automatic, also tried setting setting the WAN to DCHP before hand, while I can connect to the wireless router I can't connect to the internet to the router webpage.

So damn frustrating, I know I am on the right track, just the stupid ass router not playing along, which means I probably need to setup a static IP address.......F it should probably just buy a proper router and get it over and done with.
