I agree with you, there should be way to load a bundle on to a specific number online and pay with a credit card etc.

So. I cannot inform a client to go and buy a modem (E220), sim (99c at PnP) and prepaid if they dont have a phone that can call MTN.

You can go for the E620 instead, it comes with an earpiece and can make voice calls.

I cannot be the only one that thinks this is wrong, broken, not well planned. Think like a noob.

It would be nice if you could do everything with USSD commands.
