Help with new components

And what symptoms are you experiencing? Blue Screens/Random shutdowns
Hi guys sorry yes this exactly
Ram is fine I did test it
The only other thing is either mobo or cpu
It's a good cpu for sure but again spending about 1200 for the mb isn't it better to just go maybe core i5 and new mb ?
Been so long since I have upgraded I have zero knowledge of what to get

Only way to be really sure is to swap out components. PSU is easy, finding another MB/CPU to test with not so much so try with a spare psu for starters. What make/model psu do yo currently have and how old is it?

Have you tried a fresh windows install on a spare drive?

You can also try https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005567/processors.html

Why are you asking me, ask the OP :D
Tapafail,didnt mean to quote

Anyway if its shutdowns/bsod your psu is more likely the culprit

Does it die when idling or ingame?

From easy to more dificult:
- power supply <check>
- comp with old GPU <check>
- testing RAM on GPU <check>

The last one is more complicated, but some CPU jobs are offloaded to GPU, so lockups can be caused by GPU RAM, PCIe errors. Keep updated BIOS on mobo and GPU.

Why do you guys seem to think it's the psu
