Help with omni antenna

Hi There all

I am new to wireless, and need some help please. I have an omni antenna, and after blowing my wireless card, found out that it have to be "dc grounded" Can anyone help me or explain to me how that is done. All help will be appreciated

First time I ever heard of it. What kind of antenna is it?

I have an 8dbi omni and it is not earthed at all.

Hi Rebel Thanx for your reply. It is a 10 db omni antenna. spoke to the guys at Miro, who told me that the omni gathers a lot of static, and then discharges it into your wireless card, thats what causes it to pop. Do you know of someone that used it for a high site maybe, that might have earthed it.

Although...my omni was connected to a router and not a card.

You're lucky the guys on the forum din't beat you up for using an omni.hehehe
