Hi all

I built a simple app in flutter using Antigravity. It's just to help myself and my kid with her spelling. I discovered the 14 day testing period last night, and need testers for it. If you could help, that would be really cool. Please dm me

These people will need to interact with the app daily and actually use it for at least 14 days not just install it. Not exactly a small ask.

You can give https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidClosedTesting/ a try or maybe hire people on upwork.
Short answer: No, they do NOT have to open the app every day.

Here’s what that Google Play message actually means 👇

✅ What “remain opted-in for 14 days continuously” means

  • Testers must:
    • Click your opt-in link
    • Join the test
    • Stay in the test for 14 days straight (no leaving) (Google Help)
👉 “Opted-in” basically = they are still enrolled as a tester in Google Play.

❌ What it does

  • They don’t need to open the app every day
  • They don’t need to actively use it daily
As long as they:

  • stay opted-in
  • don’t leave the test
they still count toward your 14 days (LinkedIn)

⚠️ Important gotchas (this is where people mess up)

  • If a tester opts out, their 14-day count resets
  • If you drop below 12 testers, your 14-day progress can be affected/reset (Reddit)
  • The 14 days must be continuous, not broken up (Google Help)

💡 Best practice (real-world advice)

Even though daily use isn’t required, Google does expect:

  • some real usage
  • some feedback or activity
So ideally:

  • ask testers to open the app a few times over the 2 weeks
  • not just install and forget

👍 Simple explanation you can give testers

“Please join the test and don’t leave it for at least 14 days. You don’t need to use the app every day, but please open it a few times and give feedback if you can.”

Perhaps describe the app in more detail?
My LinkedIn sales pitch

Turning Homework Time into Play Time! 🐱🧩

Does anyone else find creating spelling practice materials tedious? I know I do! That’s why I built Kids Scramble Quest—a fun, interactive app that turns boring spelling lists into an adventure for kids.

The "Magic" ✨: Snap a photo of your child's weekly spelling list, and the app's clever mascot "Clever Cat" 🐱 will instantly turn those words into scrambled puzzles. You can even generate and print custom worksheets directly from your phone! 🖨️
✅ Fast OCR Scanning (no typing required!) ✅ Completely Private (everything stays on your phone) ✅ Zero Ads or Data Collection (safe for kids!)

Help me launch! 🚀 I'm looking for 20 people to help me with the final testing phase before it’s available on the Google Play Store. All you have to do is download the app and keep it on your phone for 2 weeks!

If you want to be one of the first to try it, just drop a comment or send me a DM! 💌
