Hi all.

I recently purchased a DStv Explora 3a, to replace my 2a which had died on me, and I am struggling to get it working with Xtraview.
I have the Explora, alongside the first generation of HD decoder (4u), and need to get it working with Extraview. I was under the impression, that the heartbeat would be transmitted from the LNB, and would have no need for a Diplexer, or anything of that nature.

Can someone please provide assistance how to get the two decoders talking?
My secondary decoder is saying "waiting for communication from primary decoder"

If I need to get a diplexer, please advise me how connect it.

Thanks

The 4U cannot get HB via the unicable ports without a diplexer
The diagram above is correct.
BUT....... ( There is always a but with anything to do with MC).

The cable length from the SLNB to the 4U is critical. How long more or less is the cable?
Next, the settings on the 4U to ensure no userband conflicts between the two decoders requires careful selection.
Explora should be set to use decoder 2 or decoder 3 settings and the 4U then left on default settings for SATCR/Unicable userband 0.
