We were using pastel my business on windows xp. And my hard-drive crashed. Got a new computer and runs windows 10. I need to get all my info from the old connected hard drive. All files show. I have installed my business again . Does not have a box for the access key. Can Anybody help me to restore the old files on the new computer please?

Plug your old hard drive into your new computer and copy the files over...
Or plug it into an external hard drive case and copy it over.

The old hard drive is plugged in. I have copies all files over to the new computer. I'm not sure which files or how to run the old files to the new computer. The exe file does not allow me to input the access key.

You need to re-install Pastel on the new machine, register it - then restore data from a Pastel backup I imagine?

simply copying the EXE wont work as its probably looking in the Windows registry for the license information which wont be on the new computer.

I have re-installed it. When I get to the registration part there is a section where you must input the company name and security key. Company name is there but not security key. When I click next after putting in the company name it asks for a security key. There is no where to input it.

You will likely have to - Renew your pastel subscription and get an open support call going to upgrade the data if you don't have the original license key

I have the original disk. Software key and license. My problem is. That there is NO place to add it in?. It was working fine on the old computer. Now I want it on the new computer

Try running the shortcut in compatibility mode ( under properties -> windows xp) and ensure you run it as admin.

Surprisingly when you add screenshots people would know easier whats going on onscreen rather than playing pin the tail on the donkey with a program version thats likely 20years old
