Helping Friends - Urgent Advice Needed

An update. She has been sleeping in the domestic's quarters of a friend for a few days now.

I visited with my friend's mom yesterday. They are chuffed having her around. They usually call garden services once a month to do the gardens. On Friday and Saturday, she did the entire property - of her own volition - I mean everything from the lawns, right down to the pond. And she's also been helping his mom with all the domestic chores - cooking - ironing etc. My friend reckons they still need to build a trust relationship with her - but I think they're considering keeping her around -as a aide to help with his dad who's paralyzed from a stroke. So maybe this might just end well.
 
Now that does sound good....

It will be nice to be shown that there are still some good people around who don't try and abuse situations that are given to them on a silver platter.... but time will tell unfortunately.

Well done for helping her. I know a lot of people told you to get rid of her, but what i will ask myself always, what would i have hoped for if i was in this situation, and you helping her might be the difference between her sorting out her life, and getting it on track, or spiralling down and ending up a druggie/prostitute [who knows].

If she wrongs you, then fine, you tried, but don't turn your back on someone who is asking for help, if more people are willing to risk helping a fellow human being, we might just see hope for us, yet..

Tried helping several of my friends in similar situations in the past. Always ended badly.

Buut if she is hot you could always keep her in a suitcase under your bed and have her pay for lodging with basic services...
 
often churches have contacts for those in need. i know of several churches that support the homeless (whether they go to their church or not, although they do encourage them to join the church) and help them with food, clothes, shelter and good jobs (in some cases give the necessary education for the jobs).

i live in cape town so i don't know any churches by name in kwa zulu natal that would have the necessary resources to run a program like this, but i'm sure they'll be there :)
