Hi Guys

I think we should all stop complaining and try and help neotel to sort out their network issues.

Obviously they are having teething problems, which can be expected.

So lets all post our location and speed here and some tips and tricks for the netowrk engineers of neotel. :)

Are you serious:rolleyes:

I personally don't mind the odd "teething" problem but I have been with neotel for a year now and these are not just teething problems. How about neotel testing technologies before they bring them to market? How about them communicating with their customers when they are having these problems instead of hiding? How about the rep making an appearance on these forums to keep us updated on the problems? How about them having a call centre that is reachable so customers could communicate the issues we are having?

Dude, that doesn't help! I have sent a PM to the rep two weeks ago telling him that I'd rather just send a PM than to complain on the forum, but he didn't do anything about it.

This company is useless and they don't deserve any help.

There is always hellopeter.com :) But I am not saying from a customer service perspective but more from a technical point of view

Why? If they can't manage then they should just get more technitians in! If they imploy more people they will help the economy and the unemployment figures! They boasted a few weeks ago how many billions they are making so its not that they don't have the money to employ a few more people! If I ever help them, they should pay me for it! I wanted to help them and they didn't want the help so now they can just pay me if I should help them again!

Do you think telkom where up and running overnight with DSL? Things like these take time. Also note that they have to be BEE complaint which will make a difference. But if we continue going on about how crap they are they will not help us.

Have you ever seen how reluctant people are to help you when you have a attitude towards them? We need to change this negativity and be positive and try and support them.

1 year is not a long time to roll out a multi billion rand network

Why must we the consumer help an engineer who gets paid to do his job and should know what he/she is doing.

The question is... do you want decent service or not? The engineers can do all they want / can to make the network stable but without consumer feedback support they will never be able to cater for everyone.

How does BEE have anything to do with this? Did BEE force them the provide us with devices that break every few months? Did BEE make our internet disconnect every few hours? I guess BEE is the reason the rep is missing too:sick:

The reason why BEE is a issue is because most BEE people are not qualified!

And you know this how exactly? I owned a recruitment company and I can tell you that there are loads of amazing Black professionals out there and there are still loads of White people who would never hire Black professionals if it were not for BEE, even though they may be the most qualified. I am pretty sure that all the other big telecoms companies are BEE compliant and their networks are up to scratch so your argument holds no basis in reality.

PS my connection dropped twice in the last 15 minutes... darn you BEE:rolleyes:

This was never a racist comment. It was just stating that we should stop moaning and work towards something better

I am not here to judge whether it was or not. I would love to help neotel improve but how exactly can we help them when the call centre is unreachable and the rep is AWOL? We can divide neotel customers into 2 groups: Those who are experiencing serious problems and those who will soon be experiencing them:rolleyes:

I was thinking down the lines of re-ommiting signal for them :)

Just an example they give us re-ommiting antennas to broadcast their signal which will then create more coverage faster :)

Tata are not a registered charity. They are here to make money. Money that we earn by working our butts off. Maybe their engineers should get off their butts and plan their network properly.
