Helping Neotel Improve

Do you think its easy to build a network this large?

Sticking towers up in the 3/4 main centres in SA is not that difficult. When will they start with their fixed line network - the one for which they have the only other licence.

The reason why they went on the wireless route was for faster service delivery. Everyone complained about Telkom taking 5 months to install a dsl line so they addressed the problem. Now everyone is complaining because they want fixed line service? wtf??

Do you know what you are talking about?

Dude, people are complaining because they don't provide their current services fast enough! Like I said in the other thread, a colleague of mine applied for a Neotel phone more than a month ago and haven't heard a word from them. There are actually just one or two people complaining about the fixed line part. 95% of all complaints on here pertain to their current wireless services.

I want Neotel to succeed.
I understand that everyone has technical issues, but there is no excuse for poor service. The fact that the call centre only works half the time should have them posting alternate numbers on their website and here. It should have them announcing it on the radio.

Its amazing what people will put up with as long as they feel like they are looked after. Make me feel like I am not important (like neotel have been doing) and I start to become unhappy and I start complaining.

All I want are answers :

Mr Madman, we are sorry, we screwed it up and we where unable to supply because our Tech Dept went to the can. We are trying to do better and we have a plan of action to prevent him from ever going
to the can again. Your service will be sorted by Friday.

Or something like that.

The question is... do you want decent service or not? The engineers can do all they want / can to make the network stable but without consumer feedback support they will never be able to cater for everyone.

So how am I supposed to provide feedback..

1. Callcenter is MIA and has been for weeks now
2. Neotel rep is MIA, from the forumn as well as his phone.
3. They refuse to give out any other numbers .....

So forgive me if I rant and rave ......
I have had a fault open for 3 months now with BUGGERALL productive feedback

Yeah I agree not on the sentech thing tho but in general their service has not been good. But instead of us complaining about it, why not give them praise when they do something right.

When they do something right ?

Hmm like what ?

I am still on a "Demo" Antennae as they have not provided me with the perm one yet (3 months later after my orig problem)
I still need to have a valid answer of why I went from FULL GREEN SIGNAL with no antennae to a orange/red , sometimes green signal with an external antennae.
I also still need an answre why I am getting multiple disconnects.

Sorry, but atm I am very negative and am very serious when I compare them to Sentech.

We are still waiting for a way to manage our bandwidth, which was promised months ago.

I have left messages for Neotel Rep to contact me, I have tried phoneing his desk phone, but no answer at all...

Yay they have given us a new BIOS for the neoflex device (A select few and yes I have had this one for a while ), but keep in mind this has not been publicly published by them and is not supported by them. It also seems to have turned off some of the critical functionality.

What functionality are you talking about? I would help them impliment a solution for bandwidth monitoring :) Let me call my contact there

He is going to give me a call @ 14:00, although he is in the logistics department. Maybe he can get me in contact with the relevant people :)

Lets hold thumbs

@Gary Waterworth pm me your msn / gtalk address

Sorry , at work I am on a secured network , so no msn or gtalk.
Various people at Neotel including Neotel Rep have my contact numbers and you contact there can look up my name in his database to get my cell no.

I actually dont give a **** about their callcenter as they are illiterate and don't actually know what is happening.
Everytime I phone them it has been a waste of money (my phone bill) and time. I have yet to receive any callback or feedback from them, even when it has been requested.

I'll give credit where's it due, there was a guy called Jacque who responded to my call on Saturday - he was really helpful and managed to get my problem sorted out unlike the other idiots on Friday who had no clue.
