This DA country. This is on them. Why haven't they been more proactive.

NEWS UPDATE - HAWSTON UNREST

The people of the Hawston community have a general unhappiness with the fact they do not get land like the people from the Zwelihle area.

They have come to a decision of blocking of the roads until they have written up their list of demands.
The community leaders are currently gathering to draft a memorandum of agreement which will once it is finished be handed over to the Mayor of Hermanus.

They have requested that they have a response to their demands by 14:00 today.

They are prepared to stand together peacefully, they will unlike the members of Zwelihle, not throw stones, they will stand together peacefully and only burn the tires.
They shall also not give the police any reason to fire on them.

The main problem is that there is a lot of land in the surrounding area that is unavailable to the Hawston community, but rather being privately sold off separate investors.

The public order police has fired rubber bullets and teargas.

The community leaders are currently trying to address the the community members.

The situation is currently highly volatile and the police are on high alert.

BREAKING NEWS - HAWSTON UNREST

The community leaders have spoken to the community members. They demand to be addressed today and not on Monday evening as decided to prior negotiations.

The community is currently demanding the release of a young teenage girl that had been arrested for being curious and trying to see the protests.
The community will only continue negotiations once there demand has been met that the young teenage girl will be released.

The situation is very tense and extremely volatile .

Hermanus CPF update 25/05/18 at 12h00 : R43 still closed between Hawston and Fisherhaven. Committee handed Memorandum to MM and feedback was given to the unruly crowd. Stones and a petrol bomb have been thrown and the situation remains tense. Arrests have been made. Access to Hermanus via Caledon and Stanford is all clear

This is just going to escalate even more all over the country. If people burn stuff they get land. The precedent is set now. The only way to break the cycle is with some life ammo and another long drawn-out enquiry into the deaths.

1) Crowdfund to buy some ex-military APCs.
2) Offer a roadblock bashing service where they drive through the illegal roadblocks that these people setup at high speed and livestream the results.
